ABOUT

About the workshop

Whether you are just beginning to explore or seeking to refine more advanced postures, this event will offer you a fun and deeply informative
approach to progressing your practice.

Each day we aim high with a technically challenging asana, break it down biomechanically, seek to understand the anatomy and key actions of the pose. Then practice through informative steps with different asana utilising props such as the wall, chairs, and belts to eventually arrive at potentially new
level of personal yogic skill.

Come together with your community to experience a transformative journey that energises your practice, sharpens your technique suitable for all levels.

Courage. Onward. Forward.

About wildlōtus

At wildlōtus, we aim to live in full aliveness. wildlōtus integrates the depth of philosophical wisdom, the creativity of intelligent sequencing, and the power of a supportive community to create a sanctuary for growth, adaptability, and inspiration.

wildlōtus bridges timeless yoga philosophies with modern life management principles, offering a holistic approach that enriches both practice and teaching. Through the transformative framework of the “Three Wheels,” wildlōtus seamlessly integrates philosophy and practical application into every aspect of the yoga journey.

• Three Wheels: A signature methodology that integrates philosophical wisdom and actionable techniques, setting a new standard for impactful yoga instruction. Each wheel represents components of study to create full aliveness in our life of yoga.

◦ 1st wheel — Action: The foundation of wildlōtus starts with the mastery of fundamental components, including basic postures, rhythmic flow, and effective transitions, forming a transformative base for every class.

◦ 2nd wheel — Alignment: This stage builds on action by emphasizing detailed principles of alignment, including the 5 keys, 3 focal points, and 7 loops, guiding students to refine their practice.

◦ 3rd wheel — Attitude: Focused on the “Gates of Wisdom,” this stage transcends physical practice by inspiring intellectual and spiritual exploration, creating profound connections in the student’s body, mind and heart.

Syllabus

Christmas, 25 Dec : 9am – 12pm : wildlōtus Water element sequence
Flowing, moving our life, moving forward. To move is to not get stuck. We practice as an active battle against the stagnancy that inevitably comes with life slowing down. This is the ultimate act of yoga.

Onward like water.

• Target: Bhairavasana
• Bhairava means terrible, formidable. This is one of the eight aspects of Shiva.
• Pose of the year 2025!

Boxing Day, 26 Dec : 9am – 12pm : wildlōtus Earth element sequence
Stability is the ground for freedom.
Actively grounding down to extend the spine and the soul upward.

• Target: Supta Kurmasana
• A sacred pose to a yogi.
• In this pose, the limbs are withdrawn and the body resembles a tortoise. The mind becomes calm and composed and one develops equanimity whether in sorrow or in joy. It will gradually become free from anxiety amid pains and indifferent amid pleasures, while the emotions of passion, fear and anger will loosen their hold upon the mind.

27 Dec: 9am – 12pm : wildlōtus Air element sequence
The flow of air moves through all parts. Here we practice the principle of extension. A complete action of creating openings and space.

• Target: Eka Pada Koundinyasana I
• The pressure of the legs on the abdomen in this pose massages the abdominal organs. The spinal twist rejuvenates and strengthens the
spine. The arms and neck grow powerful.

28 Dec: 9am – 12pm : wildlōtus Fire element sequence
Precision. Using the flame to illuminate the exact points of action. Going to the very needle fine tip of our power. Individuate the buttock bones. Move
the tailbone in, move the sacrum forward.

• Target: Vamadeasana II
• Vamadeva is the name of a sage, and also of Shiva, the third god of the Hindu Trinity, who is entrusted with the work of destruction.
• Destruction of what you might ask? Destruction of delusion. The practice of back bending helps unlock freedom in the spine, open the heart, and feel more spacious in the body and mind.
