ABOUT

** This event will be conducted in Cantonese, and all details are provided in Chinese only. Please visit the Chinese version of the website for more information. **

Embark on an introductory and transitional journey into the heart of Universal Yoga. This workshop series is designed for practitioners who are curious about Universal Yoga—or who want to deepen their general yoga practice—by learning detailed alignments and variations of the Level 1 classic Universal Yoga sequences.

What you’ll learn

  • Three distinct Level 1 sequences, each with its own theme and emphasis:
  1. T Mandala — a focused approach with a balance of stretch and mobility
  2. 8‑Directional Mandala — an exploration of movement across multiple planes, emphasizing coordination and spatial awareness
  3. Static & Dynamic Strengthening — practices that build stability, endurance, and functional strength

  • How to practice the sequences (90–120 minutes per practice) and how to modify them safely and effectively
  • Precise alignment, skills, and technical breakdowns of key postures (asanas) and movements (vinyasas) to support safer, more efficient practice
  • Integration of breath, pacing, and accessible variations so you can adapt the sequences to your body and level
  • The art and science behind Universal Yoga: how these sequences cultivate balance, resilience, and a deeper somatic awareness

Who should attend

  • Newcomers to Universal Yoga looking for a clear, accessible introduction
  • Yoga practitioners seeking a thoughtful transition into the Level 1 mandala work
  • Teachers and students who want stronger alignment knowledge, better sequencing skills, and reliable variations for different bodies
