Join Mani and Hari Om for this 32-Hour CET that delves into simple therapeutic solutions and practices for common physical, emotional and spiritual issues derived from various disorders.

Topics include studying basic anatomy & physiology to get an understanding of the human body, yoga philosophy, proper diet & breathing exercises (Pranayama), along with useful meditation techniques for aspiring/experienced teachers, as well as students who wish to gain a deeper understanding and knowledge of Yoga Therapy.

The course includes sequences for various ailments, benefits and contraindications, and class assessments that will benefit anyone interested in Yoga Therapy.

 

Syllabus

Module 1: Foundations of Yogic Healing
• Yoga Philosophy: Key Yoga Sutras and their therapeutic relevance
• Ayurveda Essentials: Core principles and healing applications
• Breathwork & Pranayama: Mechanisms of breath and its role in healing
• Mudras & Bandhas: Techniques for balancing energy and emotions

 

Module 2: Anatomy & Physiology for Yoga Therapy
• Anatomical Planes & Movements: Understanding body orientation and motion
• Human Body Systems: Overview of organs and physiological functions
• Functional Anatomy: Movement analysis and its therapeutic implications

 

Module 3: Therapeutic Techniques & Applications
• Sukshma Vyayama: Joint mobilization and subtle body exercises
• Physical Ailments & Solutions: Common conditions and yogic interventions
• Yoga Props for Therapy: Chair, straps, therapy balls, blocks, bolsters, and wall usage
• Yin Yoga & Meridians: Energy pathways and restorative practices

 

Module 4: Teaching & Class Design
• Therapeutic Class Sequences: Structuring simple and effective sessions
• Teaching Methodology: Approaches for guiding therapy-based classes
• Class Assessment: Evaluating and refining other teachers’ sessions

Mani Sidharthan
Mani, an Indian yoga practitioner, started integrating yoga into his daily life from a young age. Inspired by mentor Gopala Krishan, he obtained his first diploma from Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwantari Ashram. With teaching experience since 2004, Mani has taught at prestigious fitness and yoga institutions in India, Indonesia, and Hong Kong. He has received accolades, including the "Champion of Champions" title. Mani's classes prioritise mindfulness, joy, and injury prevention, empowering students to embrace life and shape their experiences through perception.
Hari Om Eranki Srihari Baladitya
Hari Om is a Kuchipudi and Bollywood dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher. He started practising yoga in 2003 as an addition to his dance warm-ups. After a knee injury in 2009, yoga became his source of recovery and passion. Inspired by his parents and teachers, he became a dance and yoga teacher. Hari Om's classes offer diverse styles of Indian dance and engaging yoga instruction, fostering a friendly yet disciplined atmosphere that encourages students to seek guidance.
