Wildlōtus Presents ۰ Higher Ground: A Himalayan Retreat in Yunnan with Patrick Creelman

YR200

11-16 November | Shangri-La, Yunnan

ABOUT

Dear wildlotus alumni,

Thank you for your friendship, your dedication to studying with me, and your enthusiasm for the 2025 wildlotus Retreat!

The purpose of a retreat for practice is as old as the practice itself. In the yoga tradition, it is key to practise enunciation and self-restraint. On a retreat, we step away from familiar environments and routines to allow a surrender into the body, relaxing the mind from common stresses. It brings together the great joys of practice, travel, adventure and friendship.

Past retreat locations have included Thailand, India, Tibet China, the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, Laos, Canada and Italy. Each location is chosen for an interesting atmosphere conducive to enriching our lives and our yoga practice.

On that note, please join me 11-16 November (5 nights) in the quiet setting of Songtsam Linka Shangri-La in Yunnan for asana, meditation & pranayama.

Your names are on the list for this event. As we continue deepening our asana practice together, the retreat will also include 2 x 90-min philosophy lectures / discussions on my wildlotus vision for practice and for teaching. This is best understood by the statement: ‘what it means to be fully alive’. Through our practices and discussions, we will explore the significance of this statement on practising with purpose, teaching with human connection, and aiming to live a life of meaning.

All levels of practice are welcome. I wish to make this inclusive and valuable to all. In excitement, possibility and anticipation….Patrick

Vivian's root teacher is Patrick Creelman. After the completion of her first teacher training, she felt a strong pull towards yoga and was inspired by the yogic philosophy and asanas.
