Hatha Gentle
A non-vinyasa based asana practice focused on connecting the body and mind with the purpose of increasing awareness and stability. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. Suitable for anyone looking to stretch their bodies with moderate physical effort. The focus of the class is more on stretching and awareness of body.
Hatha Basics
A non-vinyasa based asana practice focused on connecting the body and mind with the purpose of increasing awareness and stability. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. Suitable for new practitioners and students who want to increase their knowledge of the fundamental poses and alignment in yoga. This class sets the foundation for all the other Hatha classes.
Hatha 1
A non-vinyasa based asana practice focused on connecting the body and mind with the purpose of increasing awareness and stability. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. Suitable for students with some yoga experience looking to have an invigorating experience. No full inversions are included in these classes. Some preparations for inversions and Level 2 postures may be introduced, with options for Level 1 students to ease the transition from Level 1 to Level 2 classes.
Hatha 2
A non-vinyasa based asana practice focused on connecting the body and mind with the purpose of increasing awareness and stability. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. Suitable for intermediate yoga practitioners with a consistent practice. This class builds on the necessary body stability acquired in Level 1 classes to take on more challenging asanas and sequences. Classes are taught with modifications to allow an easy transition from Level 1 to Level 2. Full inversions may be included in these classes.
Hatha Mixed
A bridging and inclusive class between Hatha 1 and Hatha 2. This non-vinyasa based asana practice focuses on connecting the body and mind to increase awareness and stability. The sequence in this class provides options for different levels of students, allowing them to practise together in a gratifying shared experience. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. Suitable for students with a consistent Level 1 or Level 2 practice. Full inversions may be introduced with options for various levels of practitioners. Not appropriate for beginners.
