ABOUT

This event will be conducted in Cantonese, and all details are provided in Chinese only. Please visit the Chinese version of the website for more information.

The human body exhibits varying degrees of asymmetry on the left/right and up/down axes, either due to congenital factors or acquired conditions. But improvements can be made through muscle alignment and correction that are rooted in Yin Yoga.

‘Muscle alignment’ involves adjusting the muscles as well as the fascia of internal organs and different body parts (including tendons/ligaments) to their optimal positions. ‘Correction’ aligns the joints of different body parts in accordance with osteopathic principles, helping to achieve balance in the body’s structure. This allows for better coordination between muscles and the skeleton, greater range of motion, increased flexibility, improved blood circulation, and enhanced lymphatic detoxification. By combining various breathing techniques, energy can flow smoothly through all meridians.

Students will observe and use Yin Yoga poses to improve various types of asymmetrical structures and pain, arranging class sequences based on different combinations. Through the practice of mindfulness, students will experience the connections between different body parts while enjoying the integration of body, mind and spirit.
