Escape the chaos of everyday life and join Joan for a life-changing yoga retreat in the heart of Bali’s Ubud. It will cultivate a mind-body-soul connection and create a space for you to slow down, reflect and recharge.
Set amidst the lush tropical jungle, you’ll find yourself surrounded by the natural beauty and serenity that Bali is known for. Wake up to the sound of nature and start your day with yoga practice, followed by a nourishing breakfast made with fresh locally sourced ingredients. Throughout the day, you’ll be able to deepen your practice by exploring different styles of yoga, meditation and breathwork.
This retreat is more than just yoga. It also includes activities like cycling through the rice paddies, a visit to a local temple, practising Sun Salutation on top of the mountain, and whitewater rafting.
The timing of the retreat also allows us to experience Nyepi, a Balinese holiday known as ‘Day of Silence’.
The day before Nyepi is the Ogoh-Ogoh parade, where effigies that represent mythological creatures are marched through the streets. There is also traditional music and dancing performances. The day after Nyepi is called “the Silence Day” — a time for tranquillity, reflection, meditation and self-purification. You can also relax by the pool, read a book, or simply soak up the beauty of your surroundings.
Nyepi is a profoundly spiritual and cultural celebration, and participating in it is a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.
But perhaps the most valuable aspect of this retreat is the community you’ll become a part of. Connect with like-minded individual, share your experiences, and learn from each other. Our retreat is a safe space where you can be yourself, let go of stress, and embrace the present moment.
This is an internal odyssey of self-exploration and transformation. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of yourself, a renewed sense of purpose, and the tools to continue your voyage of growth and self-care long after the retreat is over. Be inspired by the magical exploration that brings us to presence and mindfulness.
