From Silencing the Mind to Ultimate Liberation Philosophy Workshop with Eyal Shifroni

WS3227 | 16-19 October 2026 | Asia Standard Tower, Central

From Silencing the Mind to Ultimate Liberation Philosophy Workshop with Eyal Shifroni

DESCRIPTION

Eyal Shifroni is a highly respected practitioner and teacher with over 40 years of experience in Iyengar Yoga and more than two decades devoted to Buddhist meditation.

This workshop will explore the concept of Chitta (human consciousness) as presented in the Yoga Sutras and Sankhya philosophy. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the components that constitute Chitta and learn practical methods to integrate these insights into asana and pranayama practice.

Asana is both mindful movement and restful reflection, cultivating extension, balance and tranquillity. The practice unites body, mind and soul to support personal growth and transformation. Through asana, we experience personal growth, awareness and a sense of harmony—both in challenging poses and everyday life.

The practice fosters awareness, balance and presence—valuable tools for modern life.

Presence in the moment supports physical and mental well-being, helping address the sources of stress and suffering.

What We Will Explore

  • The concept of Chitta (consciousness) from the Yoga Sutras and Sankhya philosophy
  • Practical methods to integrate yogic philosophy into āsana and prāṇāyāma
  • How asana becomes both mindful movement and restful reflection
  • Cultivating extension, balance and tranquillity on and off the mat
  • Tools for building resilience, adaptability and presence in daily life
  • Deepening self‑awareness and personal growth through dedicated practice

About Eoin Finn

Eoin Finn, globally celebrated yogi, surfer, thought leader and founder of Blissology, has been carving his unique path through the worlds of yoga, philosophy, physiology and movement since 1989. Known for blending soulful science with yogic wisdom, Eoin’s teachings are deeply rooted in the yogic traditions but are refreshingly down-to-earth. He’s been named one to watch by Oprah, and his innovative, pioneering spirit “refreshes like cool water”. His new book, ‘Yoga Optimized’, is a testament to this legacy.

Guided by a firm belief in the power of nature to find true bliss, he often says to “seek quiet solitude in nature”. Eoin’s diverse studies span philosophy at Dalhousie University, anatomy and physiology at Harvard Medical School, and exercise physiology at the University of California, Berkeley.

A passionate ocean activist, he launched the Blissology EcoKarma project in 2014, mobilising yoga and environmental activism to protect precious coral reefs. He lives on Canada’s west coast, always searching for the next perfect wave.
