From Silencing the Mind to Ultimate Liberation Philosophy Workshop with Eyal Shifroni

WS3227 | 16-19 October 2026 | Asia Standard Tower, Central

From Silencing the Mind to Ultimate Liberation Philosophy Workshop with Eyal Shifroni

DESCRIPTION

Eyal Shifroni is a highly respected practitioner and teacher with over 40 years of experience in Iyengar Yoga and more than two decades devoted to Buddhist meditation.

This workshop will explore the concept of Chitta (human consciousness) as presented in the Yoga Sutras and Sankhya philosophy. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the components that constitute Chitta and learn practical methods to integrate these insights into asana and pranayama practice.

Asana is both mindful movement and restful reflection, cultivating extension, balance and tranquillity. The practice unites body, mind and soul to support personal growth and transformation. Through asana, we experience personal growth, awareness and a sense of harmony—both in challenging poses and everyday life.

FACULTY BIO

Eyal Shifroni has been teaching Iyengar Yoga since 1985 and first visited Pune in 1988, where he studied directly under the guidance of Guruji B.K.S. Iyengar. These immersive studies continued regularly until 2018, profoundly shaping his practice and teaching.

In 2009, he received a Senior Intermediate III certificate from Guruji. Eyal is the author of A Chair for Yoga and seven other books on yoga, exploring the therapeutic use of props and the connection between body and mind.

He leads the Iyengar Yoga Center of Zichron‑Ya’akov in Israel and conducts workshops worldwide, sharing his deep knowledge with warmth, clarity and precision.

The practice fosters awareness, balance and presence—valuable tools for modern life.

Presence in the moment supports physical and mental well-being, helping address the sources of stress and suffering.
