Pathway to Splits: Discovery Weekend with Janya Staykov

7-8 November 2026 | Pacific Place - Admiralty

Pathway to Splits: Discovery Weekend with Janya Staykov

ABOUT

This is a weekend of discovery to understand the pathway to splits.

Over two days, you won’t just stretch – you will learn how to develop the front and middle splits in a way that is efficient, sustainable, and safe.

What You’ll Discover

  • Anatomy – We will map the key muscles related to the front and middle splits so you understand exactly what you are stretching and strengthening – and know why.
  • Active & Passive Flexibility – You will learn both active drills and passive techniques related to the key muscles. The combination of both is essential for development and injury prevention.
  • Tools & Techniques – We will incorporate both resistance bands and a myofascial release ball. To help us build strength and stability at end-range as well as release tension to make the stretches more effective. The tools can be taken with you to support your practice after the workshop ends.
  • Ways to Practice – We will explore how to enter each asana and body placement / positioning. You will also learn how these shapes connect to other yoga asana so that your practice feels integrated.

You will leave this workshop with a clear understanding of what you are doing and what techniques and drills you can apply on your pathway to splits.

All levels welcome.
