ABOUT

This Vinyasa-centred training is designed to elevate your teaching and practice. It includes an in-depth analysis of Asanas, Vinyasa, and transitions of poses. You will also learn techniques on how to instruct and adjust poses safely and effectively.

This training will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become both a skilled practitioner and a knowledgeable teacher, with a deeper understanding of Vinyasa practice, and the various elements of yoga that go beyond the Asanas.

Key principles and rules of yoga are taught, allowing teachers and dedicated practitioners to gain an in-depth understanding, knowledge and insight into the methodology and the outcomes of yoga practice.

Edward Chow

Prior to his 2006 venture into teaching yoga, Edward had been running his family’s business. Despite his desire to engage in regular physical activity, the demands of his work left him exhausted.

After his very first yoga class, he felt the true impact of practising yoga. It not only energised him physically, but also mentally grounded him. This experience prompted him to begin his yoga journey. He registered as a RYT-500 yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance in 2011.

Edward enjoys teaching energetic Vinyasa-style yoga and providing his students with alignment cues through hands-on adjustments. He wants his students to walk out of his class feeling more connected to their practice and in a state of physical and mental equilibrium.

He is particularly grateful for guidance given to him by Andrey Lappa (Founder of Universal Yoga) and Sharon Gannon and David Life (Founders of Jivamukti Yoga).

Joyce Chan

Initially viewing yoga as a mild workout during law school, Joyce soon realised its transformative impact on both her physical and mental health, helping her navigate a hectic legal career. Guided by teachers Maurice Mettler, Jason Crandell, and Edward Chow, Joyce’s teaching prioritises alignment, anatomy, balance, and the deconstruction of complex poses. Her dynamic, challenging classes aim to help students progress at their own pace, fostering strength, flexibility, peacefulness, and mindfulness.

Joyce Fan

Joyce’s yoga journey began in 2013, seeking to incorporate gentle physical activity into her routine. Surprisingly, despite no background in dance or gymnastics, she managed to achieve her first adult split. Yoga not only benefited her physically but also had a profound impact on her mind, teaching her resilience and detachment. Joyce expresses immense gratitude for her teachers, who expanded her knowledge, sparked her passion for anatomy, and instilled deep understanding of alignment, breath control, and mindfulness. Joyce believes yoga benefits everyone and prioritises safety, alignment, and breath awareness in her teaching to empower her students to reach their full potential.
