ABOUT

The human body is an intelligent machine with muscles, bones and connective tissues working together instinctively to facilitate our daily movements. But our natural connectiveness can become discorded owing to stress, bad habits or incorrect postures. Many people resultantly become weak or suffer from pain and stiffness. The Yoga Wheel is a wonderful prop to rebuild inter-connectiveness and arouse consciousness through yoga asana practice.

In this 30-hour Yoga Wheel Teacher Training, participants will be guided to practise and teach yoga asanas with the wheel according to alignment principles, decoding the nuance of each pose relative to individual body alignment so as to help students improve their strength, mobility, stability and flexibility.

This training is a Continuing Education Programme registered with Yoga Alliance and is suitable for anyone who has been practising Yoga Wheel regularly for at least 6 months.

Both theory and practical aspects will be covered including history of the Yoga Wheel, human anatomy, asana practice, teaching and cueing. The course will provide participants with the professional knowledge to become a Yoga Wheel teacher and will also benefit those wanting to heighten their personal practice. All graduates will receive a Yoga Alliance Certificate after the training.

*This training will be conducted in Cantonese and English.*

Joan Jolliffe
Joan was a design director before becoming a yoga teacher. Suffering from rheumatoid arthritis due to overworking and stress awakened her decision to redefine life’s priority. Joan left her corporate job in 2017 and started her first teacher training. Joan has been a true loyal PURE Yogini for over 20 years and is influenced by many great teachers including Yogananth Andiappan, Patrick Creelman, Jason Crandell and handstand master Miguel Santana. Joan feels blessed to teach at PURE, where she started practicing.
