5-Dimensional Synergy Flow Intensive with Simon Borg-Olivier

WS3269 | 14-18 Oct 2026,  World Trade Centre

5-Dimensional Synergy Flow Intensive with Simon Borg-Olivier

DESCRIPTION

A system that unites the common roots of yoga, tai chi, qigong, dance and natural human movement:

5-Dimensional Synergy Flow is enriched with modern physiotherapy and exercise-science principles.

Simon combines today’s science with traditional yoga to create practices suited to the modern body. Drawing clear bridges between Eastern methods and Western physiology, he explores the evolution of kriyā and the art of prāṇāyāma as practical tools for everyday life — helping you tense less and feel more.

This practice teaches you how to develop strength without tension, flexibility without stretching, and much more. You will learn how to truly restore the harmony between body, breath and mind.

About the Yoga Synergy Method
Developed over 40 years ago by physiotherapists Simon Borg-Olivier and Bianca Machliss, the Yoga Synergy Method blends Western medical science with traditional yoga wisdom. Simon studied personally with Sri B.K.S. Iyengar, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and Sri T.V.K. Desikachar. The result is a safe, dynamic, meditative flow that thousands worldwide have benefitted from. Bianca and Simon have successfully trained teachers globally for over 20 years.

SCHEDULE & OVERVIEW

Each day is structured to move from direct experience into clear understanding.

Mornings focus on a deeply meditative practice combining fluid movement, subtle breath work and internal techniques. These sessions are designed to calm the nervous system, improve circulation and cultivate internal awareness through efficient, low-effort movement. This is the 5-D Flow Method in action.

Afternoons explore traditional yoga forms — including āsana, prāṇāyāma and kriyā — through the Yoga Synergy System. Here, the yogic practices are unpacked and integrated using principles of anatomy, biomechanics, physiology and therapeutic movement, helping you understand why the practices work and how to apply them safely and more effectively.

Throughout the day, practical theory is woven directly into movement, bridging embodied experience with functional understanding.

Simon Borg-Olivier

Simon Borg-Olivier, MSc, BAppSc (Physiotherapy), APAM c-IAYT, has studied and taught traditional posture, movement, breathing and meditation with great masters from Tibet, Japan, India and China for more than 40 years. Simon is a physiotherapist, research scientist, and university lecturer. He has often been invited to teach at conferences internationally since 1990. He is co-founder of Yoga Synergy, one of Australia’s oldest yoga schools. Simon combines modern medical science with traditional practices to create loving connections within the self for internal health and happiness as a model for how we are in the world.

Simon shares a system of gentle movements — a dynamic meditative practice — that puts you in the flow state of an elite athlete without any of the physical stresses that are usually part of most people’s exercise. The system is based on his 25 years as a physiotherapist and 40 years as a Hatha Yoga and Qigong teacher. This practice is less like a workout and more like a ‘work-in’. Imagine feeling more energised, calmer and happier after each gentle session and having all the pain in your body dissipate. Regular practice allows you to sleep well, digest well, heal from musculoskeletal injuries and medical conditions, and rarely (if ever) get sick.
