Lkhagva-Ochir Erdene Ochir is an internationally acclaimed Mongolian circus artist, celebrated for his breathtaking chair handbalancing act — which he has performed more than 10,000 times across three continents.
Trained from the age 9 under renowned Mongolian contortion master Tsendayush T., Lkhagva-Ochir was first discovered by his uncle, a talent scout for the National Circus of Mongolia. He later joined the prestigious Human Rose contortion studio, where he now mentors new generations of performers. He is also the founder of AcroMongolia entertainment and education company.
A versatile artist and dedicated educator, Ochir has:
- Mastered handbalancing, contortion, aerial straps and acrobatics
- Performed with Cirque du Soleil in both CRYSTAL and KOOZA
- Appeared as a featured athlete and finalist on Netflix’s Physical: Asia (2025)
- Created Mongolia’s first theatrical-circus production, The Legend of Fire
- Received Mongolia’s Polar Star Medal and Honoured Artist title
Today, Ochir shares his expertise worldwide through international workshops and his AcroMongolia Stage Artist Programme, bringing his unique cultural heritage and world-class artistry to students around the globe.
