ABOUT

Do your backbends leave you feeling tight, stuck, or even in pain? Whether you’re a yoga practitioner, teacher, or physiotherapist, this workshop is designed to revolutionize the way you approach backbends – helping you achieve greater depth, stability, and safety in your practice.

Join Samuel Lee and Jack Lee for a two-hour interactive workshop that combines yoga techniques with biomechanical insights to ensure a healthy, injury-free evolution of your backbend practice.

Yoga is a lifelong practice – but injuries from improper alignment or overexertion can cut that lifetime short. Both Samuel and Jack share a vision for safer, more effective yoga practices, particularly in backbends—a family of poses that’s as challenging as it is rewarding.

With nearly two decades of combined experience, Samuel and Jack will bring valuable insights from the fields of yoga and physiotherapy to teach you practical, science-backed methods for deepening your backbends while protecting your body from injury.

This workshop isn’t just for yoga practitioners. It’s also ideal for yoga instructors, physiotherapists, and anyone looking to enhance their teaching or treatment plans through the integration of biomechanics principles.

What You’ll Learn:
– Breathwork for Backbends: Master the breathing techniques crucial for healthy spinal movement.
– Thoracic Spine Mobility: Learn how to safely open the thoracic spine and maximize the natural curvature of each vertebra.
– Core Strength & Stability: Understand the role of deep core muscles, serratus anterior, and external obliques in achieving deeper, more stable backbends while avoiding lower back pain.
– Hands-On Adjustments: Learn effective cues and techniques to guide your students into deeper backbends safely.

Who Should Attend?
– Yoga Practitioners striving to deepen their backbends without compromising their health.
– Yoga Teachers looking to teach more effectively by understanding biomechanical principles.
– Physiotherapists & any healthcare professional wanting better insight into the movement needs of yoga practitioners to develop informed treatment plans.
