Courage. Onward. Forward.

At wildlōtus, we aim to live in full aliveness. wildlōtus integrates the depth of philosophical wisdom, the creativity of intelligent sequencing, and the power of a supportive community to create a sanctuary for growth, adaptability, and inspiration.

wildlōtus bridges timeless yoga philosophies with modern life management principles, offering a holistic approach that enriches both practice and teaching. Through the transformative framework of the “Three Wheels,” wildlōtus seamlessly integrates philosophy and practical application into every aspect of the yoga journey.

• Three Wheels: A signature methodology that integrates philosophical wisdom and actionable techniques, setting a new standard for impactful yoga instruction. Each wheel represents components of study to create full aliveness in our life of yoga.

1st wheel – Action: The foundation of wildlōtus starts with the mastery of fundamental components, including basic postures, rhythmic flow, and effective transitions, forming a transformative base for every class.

2nd wheel – Alignment: This stage builds on action by emphasizing detailed principles of alignment, including the 5 keys, 3 focal points, and 7 loops, guiding students to refine their practice.

3rd wheel – Attitude: Focused on the “Gates of Wisdom,” this stage transcends physical practice by inspiring intellectual and spiritual exploration, creating profound connections in the student’s body, mind and heart.

Syllabus

Saturday morning session
• Wildlōtus FORM practice: in this method of practice – we aim high with a technically challenging asana, break it down biomechanically, seek to understand the anatomy and key actions of the pose. Then practice through informative steps with different asana utilising props such as the wall, chairs, and belts to eventually arrive at potentially new level of personal yogic skill. This is a fun and deeply informative approach to progressing the practice.

• Targets: Natarajasana (& Kapinjalasana) – the pinnacle of all standing
back extension poses
• The form of dancing Shiva
• This pose embodies the power of incineration. Fearlessness.
• The cover image of BKS Iyengar’s Light on Yoga.

Saturday afternoon session
• The Gates of Wisdom: A lecture on the higher aims of life. These are teachings aimed at shifting our perspective and compelling us to take action in a meaningful way.
• Our higher aim is towards our future self. Who could you be?

Sunday morning session
• Wildlōtus FORM Practice
• Target: Marichyasana IV (& Mandalasana)
• This variation combines the movements of Marichyasana II and Marichyasana III.
• The pressure of the heel against the navel and the clasping of the hands behind the back rejuvenates the nerves around the navel.
• The power of twisting poses when done well lead to equanimity in the mind – sharp like a cloudless sky, calm like the open ocean on a clear day.

Sunday afternoon session
• Gates of Wisdom: A lecture on the higher aims of life.
• The ever-true battlefield of a yogi: the mind is crazy, the body is lazy.
• Practice is for winning the battle on the field of life.
• Pratyatna Shaitilya : the state of effortless effort.
