Yoga Sculpt combines traditional yoga with elements of Barre and strength training. The practice includes isometric exercises performed with light weights (0.5 kg) or exercise balls, helping to maintain muscle strength, especially at challenging ranges of motion. While the weights used in this class are light, the challenge comes from repetition and small movements with contracted muscles, which allow students to build adequate strength for a healthy body. On top of this, each exercise uses multiple muscle groups at once and includes two to four moves, which helps to increase the heart rate while bringing a new level of awareness to the body-mind connection. Students can expect a well-rounded practice focused on strength, fitness and overall health. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included.
This class is suitable for students with some yoga experience looking to add variety to their yoga routine while toning their muscles and improving their fitness level.
