Using props such as yoga blocks, straps, chairs, and wall ropes, we’ll guide you through practices that restore alignment, open new pathways for flexibility, and nurture both your body and mind.

 

  • Day 1: Begin your spine-health journey with an in-depth anatomy session focused on understanding the mechanics of the spine. Gain insights into how your habits—both on and off the mat—affect spinal wellness. This foundation will inform a thoughtful 2-hour practice where you’ll learn to use props like yoga chairs, straps, and bolsters to safely modify postures and tailor them to your body’s needs.

 

  • Day 2: The second day turns the focus to wall ropes with a Yoga Kurunta session. Drawing from Iyengar Yoga tradition, this practice is known for its therapeutic benefits in decompressing the spine. The ropes allow for weightless movement, creating openings in the back while safely supporting those recovering from injuries or chronic conditions. To make the most of this experience, participants will be divided into two smaller groups for intimate, focused guidance.

Samantha Tang
Samantha began her yoga journey in 2012 at University. A profound experience in Sanskrit chanting led her to dive deeper into enquiring the deeper layers of the practice. She travelled to India, Nepal to study yoga and Tibetan Buddhism. She practises under the traditional Ashtanga method, with guidance from Clayton Horton, Kino MacGregor, Tim Feldmann and Dr. M.A. Narasimhan.
