50-Hour Yoga Wheel Teacher Training with Amarjit Kumar

About the Training

This 50-hour yoga wheel teacher training programme is catered to yoga practitioners who wish to advance their practice or teaching. It has been designed to assist practitioners in their discovery and exploration of different asanas (postures) using the yoga wheel, which enables deeper stretching and extension of the body. Participants can develop their core and stability and learn to improve their balancing, back-bending and inversion postures.

Whether you are a yoga practitioner, teacher, fitness instructor or sports enthusiast, come and enrich your yoga experience.

Graduates will receive a Yoga Alliance accredited certificate and qualification upon completion.

TRAINING SCHEDULE

Friday, 8 December – Part I
9:30am-11:30am – Introduction of the principles of yoga wheel & explanation of its warm-up
11:30am-1:00pm – Yoga wheel with therapeutic purposes – restorative, yoga therapy, back care, heart opening
2:00pm-3:30pm – Philosophy of asanas (postures)
3:30pm-6:30pm – Practice – “Importance of alignment in postures”

Saturday, 9 December – Part II
9:30am-11:30am – Deep-stretch practice with alignments
11:30am-1:00pm – Introduction of Sun Salutation poses using the wheel
2:00pm-4:30pm – Fundamental knowledge of anatomy & physiology
4:30-6:30pm – Introduction of back bends and twisting poses

Sunday, 10 December – Part III
9:30am-11:30am – Training – Core & balancing poses
11:30am-1:00pm – Chakras & the subtle anatomy of yoga
2:00pm-4:30pm – Fundamental knowledge of anatomy & physiology
4:30-6:30pm – Introduction of inversion poses

Saturday, 16 December – Part IV
9:30am-11:30am – Back bends with chest- & shoulder-opening technique with the wheel
11:30am-1:00pm – Intermediate level practice & its alignments
2:00pm-4:30pm – Art of sequencing, assistance, adjustments & teaching
4:30-6:30pm – Backward & forward bends

Sunday, 17 December – Part V
9:30am-11:30am – Intermediate level practice & its alignments
11:30am-1:00pm – Art of sequencing, assistance, adjustments & teaching
2:00pm-4:30pm – Art of sequencing, assistance, adjustments & teaching
4:30-6:30pm – Q&A, certificate distribution

*Upon graduation, you will be awarded a certification of completion that you can register with Yoga Alliance as continuing education.

*Lunch: 1:00pm

*There will be a one-hour lunch as well as several short breaks throughout the day.

*50-Hour Yoga Alliance Accredited CET

Amarjit Kumar
Amarjit began his yoga journey at the age of 10 and won numerous national yoga championships in India. In his pursuit of yogic excellence, he started studying authentic yoga, deeply inspired by Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati in Bihar, and the guidance of his teacher Prabir Karmakar in yoga training. He first began his yoga teaching career in 2002 in India, with teaching experiences in Bangkok and Hong Kong since 2007. Amarjit's classes focus on harmonious flow of body, breath, and mind, promoting self-confidence.
