Mystical Bhutan ۰ Yoga & Gong Purifying Journey with Connie Yan

Retreat Description

Bhutan: The World’s Last Sanctuary of Happiness

Known as the “world’s happiest kingdom”, Bhutan is often regarded as the last pure land on Earth. Nestled in the Himalayas between China and India, this mystical country is steeped in religious heritage with its architecture and culture deeply rooted in Tibetan Buddhism, adding an aura of sacredness to the land. Wildflowers blanketing the valleys, cascading terraced fields, the majestic Himalayas, endangered wildlife, and unique architecture and traditions all merge to form a breathtaking masterpiece of nature.

This journey will take you through the mesmerising towns and valleys of Paro, Thimphu, Punakha and Phobjikha Valley. While independent travel is not permitted in Bhutan and you will be accompanied by a guide throughout, your spirit remains utterly free.

In this sacred Buddhist land cradled by the Himalayas, we invite you on a six-day journey of physical, mental and spiritual purification. Each morning in the Thimphu Valley, awaken your body with yoga under the guidance of instructor Connie. Come afternoon amidst the pine forests at the foot of Tiger’s Nest Monastery, let the harmonics of gongs resonate with the mountain breeze and wash away accumulated anxieties. This is more than just a yoga retreat — it is a sacred ritual, using Bhutan as a mirror to reflect inward. Where ancient Tibetan Buddhist wisdom meets modern sound healing science, you will rediscover the true meaning of happiness and balance in the embrace of snow-capped peaks.

In Bhutan, every breath is purification. As the overtones of gongs echo through the Himalayan valleys, you will experience the ultimate harmony of sound, faith and nature.
