Workshop

End of Year Celebration with Sean and Laura: Introduction to Handstands

30 December 2023

About this workshop

Standing on your hands can be scary but it shouldn’t be confusing.

Under the careful guidance of not one but two teachers, learn the basics of handstands – both on and off the wall.

Enjoy drills and techniques to progress your handstand, whatever your level of experience.

This class will include, but not exclusive to, wrist, shoulder and core strength.

Students are welcome to bring their phones (on flight mode) for filming and timing their holds.

Sean Robinson
Originally advised to try yoga in 2014 to manage stress and heal from BMX-related injuries, Sean found a sense of stillness and challenge that resonated with him. He's been teaching in India, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong, with a focus on Ashtanga and Rocket Yoga. Drawing on his background as a Speech and Language Pathologist, Sean emphasises effective communication in his classes, deconstructing complex poses and empowering students to advance their practice through understanding the rationale behind techniques and poses.
Laura Beu
Laura, a journalist and former international model, started her yoga journey in 2015, deepening her practice in a Manchester studio. Returning to Hong Kong, she explored yoga philosophy under Andy Willner's guidance and completed a life-changing 200-hour Foundation Training for Teachers with Patrick Creelman and Rinat Perlman in 2017. Offering dynamic, alignment-based classes, Laura helps students connect with their bodies, aspiring to share the self-awareness, grounding, and strength she gained from her own yoga practice.
